Being a wholly-owned subsidiary of one of the largest oil & gas companies in the world, our client is in charge of the Group’s worldwide production of base petrochemicals. We are assisting our client to look for a trader who has demonstrated a consistent ability to generate revenue within the styrene monomer product business over a sustained period of time.

The role will consist of setting up the platform and shaping of the business in a role of great amounts of scope going forwards. He/she will develop the international trade of petrochemical products in the Asia Pacific markets, mainly in the China market in support the Group’s Global Trade Strategy and long term objectives. Furthermore, this role initiate, assist and facilitate the global trade strategic developments in APAC. Another key responsibility will be to maintain close communication within the petrochemical industry and major players and feed back to the global communication system.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve pre-set trading budget to be determined based on global trade strategy
- Accountable for trading activities in the specific markets assigned, including sourcing, swaping and selling of the assigned petrochemical products
- Develop a sustainable and creditable commercial presence with major players within Asia Pacific markets
- Optimize business opportunity and potential through global communication system
- Ensure competence and professionalism in all administrative back office and logistics supports for each and every trading deals

The Requirements:
- A university degree, international trading experience would be an advantage
- Strong business acumen with a natural disposition for success
- Process analytical/problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, cross cultural and conflict resolution
- Highly motivated, independent resourceful and able to handle multiple tasks
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin
