The key to achieving this alignment is by ensuring the skills are available within the learning community, which will equip leaders with the necessary tools for developing the skills of their employees. This can be accomplished by providing the knowledge and tools within the context of common Rio Tinto HR systems. Regional Capability Development teams form part of the People and Organizational Support Group and have been established to support regional business units/clients. To ensure adoption of global standards and practices, the Capability Development teams will be part of the Community of Practice under Leadership & People Development, which is managed by the Global Practice Leader. Primary Purpose: The Capability Development Senior Advisor’s main focus is to offer highly effective training and OD solutions in order to support the client’s initiative for performance improvement through the development of employees’ skills and organizational capability.
